Where we can have real impact is in the growth of private businesses within the city and neighboring regions. Toronto could be the marketplace of the world, providing imports from every nation, producing goods for sale and export, and offering food and entertainment from every culture.

To encourage this, the city can make it easier for businesses to start and succeed. There must still be guidelines, but barriers and wait times can be reduced. In addition, the formation of a business advisory service and educational support could help develop entrepreneurs.  A financial advisory service could help those entrepreneurs make their business a reality.

If small business thrives and grows, there will be more opportunities for everyone. We can celebrate our differences, since everyone has something unique to offer. Together, we can create an atmosphere of abundance, and attract visitors from around the world.

Any startup business should enhance the city of Toronto. Businesses providing unique cultural services or products will be highly encouraged. Guidelines must still be followed, such as health inspections at restaurants. However, the intention of City Hall will be to help rather than hinder. Success is good for everyone, and easily within our grasp.

Education could be provided, either for free or at a nominal cost, that helps people succeed in a thriving metropolis.
